Al Adalah vs Al Nassr score result highlights as Cristiano Ronaldo
Cristiano Ronaldo and Talisca each added a pair to their prolific goal tally on the Saudi Pro League season as Al Nassr thrashed relegation-threatened Al Adalah 5-0 on the road.

Al Nassr, sitting a point off the top of the Saudi Pro League table, dominated relegation-threatened Al Adalah thanks to a brace from each member of superstar attacking duo Cristiano Ronaldo and Talisca.

Ronaldo opened the scoring with a penalty five minutes before halftime, and while it was just the one-goal difference at the break, the second half proved decisive. Talisca doubled the lead 10 minutes into the second half, and each would pick up another goal before it was all wrapped up. Substitute Ayman Ahmed put the cherry on top deep into stoppage time, and Al Nassr kept pace atop the table as both Al Ittihad and Al Hilal also won on either side of them.

Ronaldo's pair brings his Saudi Pro League goal tally to 11 in just nine matches, while Talisca now has 16 goals in 16 matches, which leads the Saudi Pro League.

Al Adalah, meanwhile, remain in one of the two relegation spots, level on points with the team just outside the drop zone, Al Khaleej, but below them on goal differential. The heavy defeat is critical as they drop further back in the tiebreaker category.

The result was harsh on Al Adalah, who were probably good enough for at least a goal, but they were wasteful in the attacking third, often taking far too much time to settle the ball in front of goal in space, allowing the visiting defense to recover.

The Sporting News followed the Al Adalah vs Al Nassr match live, providing score updates, commentary and highlights as they happened.

Al Adalah vs Al Nassr live updates, highlights, commentary FULLTIME: Al Adalah 0-5 Al Nassr

It's quite a harsh final scoreline on the hosts, but Al Nassr were certainly good enough to earn all three points and keep pace at the top of the Saudi Pro League table.

Talisca nearly had his hat-trick, but he'll settle for the brace, and Cristiano Ronaldo has two of his own as well. The clean sheet caps off a wonderful performance, although Al Adalah had a number of chances to score and simply blew them.

Al Adalah vs Al Nassr: Second Half

90+8 min: GOAL! AL NASSR! Talisca's chip attempt for his hat-trick is saved by Mijatovic, but Ayman Ahmed snatches the rebound right off the feet of Abdulaziz Al-Alawi and buries it!

90+7 min: Chance, Al Adalah: WHAT A SAVE BY THE BACKUP GOALKEEPER AUGSTIN ROSSI! On for just a few minutes, he makes an excellent diving stop, full stretch to his right!

90+4 min: Into nine minutes of stoppage time, Al Adalah are pressing hard for a consolation goal, but this Al Nassr defense is standing strong and there's no way through.

87th min: Oh no, there's a very bad collision in front of the Al Nassr goal as goalkeeper Nawaf Alaqidi goes to punch the delivery and bangs heads with Ali Al-Salem. They're both down and receiving treatment. It looked very bad, as Alaqidi was totally stunned and possibly unconscious. The broadcast isn't showing either player, which is scary.

The broadcast finally cuts to the two players down receiving treatment, just in time to show that both players need a replacement. Alaqidi has a head wrap and is loaded, sitting up and conscious, onto a cart to be taken off, replaced by the backup goalkeeper Augstin Rossi.

81st min: Chance, Al Adalah! The hosts have been very poor in front of goal. Eugenio has to score here, in a fabulous position with space just outside the six-yard box, but he simply takes too long to get the ball off his feet, and his shot is blocked after the defense recovers.

78th min: GOAL! AL NASSR! ITS A STUNNER FROM TALISCA! He's chipped the goalkeeper! The pass from substitute Ayman Ahmed is wonderful, as he slides it vertically through the Al Adalah defense. Talisca latches on and with Milan Mijatovic charging, he deftly lofts it over the goalkeeper and into the net!

77th min: Talisca commits a silly foul just outside the top-left corner of the penalty area, giving Al Adalah a dangerous free-kick, but its blasted straight into the wall by Eugenio.

73rd min: The fans at Prince Abdullah bin Jalawi Stadium have phone lights waving all at once like at a concert, it's kind of cool!

69th min: Chance, Al Adalah! They have to score there! Mohammed Al Oufi clowns his defender on the left touchline and breaks into the space provided. His cross in front of goal deflects off someone and falls right to Reinaldo Leins right on top of the far post, but the Al Adalah playmaker bobbles the ball at his feet. That gives the Al Nassr defense just enough time to recover, and his eventual shot from point-blank range is blocked!

66th min: GOAL! AL NASSR! Cristiano Ronaldo with his second, this time from open play! It's a nearly identical one to Talisca's goal 11 minutes earlier, as he receives the ball on the top-left corner of the penalty area and rifles it across the face of goal into the back of the net. Anything you can do, I can do too!

59th min: Goodness gracious, Talisca tries a stunning, acrobatic scissor kick, but completely whiffs. Had that come off it would have been incredible! Just didn't get the timing right.

55th min: GOAL! AL NASSR! Cristiano Ronaldo has already scored, so now Talisca gets his! The second straight match in which both have scored for Al Nassr!

It's out of nothing too, as he crops up on the ball outside the top-left corner of the penalty area and decides to have a go with his left foot. It's perfectly placed, across the face of goal and tucked inside the far post!

54th min: Nawaf Alaqidi has to make an intervention on an Al Adalah cross into the penalty area, leaping to tip a cross away from its intended target. Good goalkeeping!

50th min: This second half has started in similar fashion to how the first half ended, but neither side has been able to create a good chance. Still, they're goin back and forth and back and forth...

Kickoff: The second half is under way. Al Adalah, despite their really great kits, were battered throughout the first half, and will need to change things up to keep a lid on this match and give themselves a chance at coming back. As of now, however, there are no personnel changes for either side.

HALFTIME: Al Adalah 0-1 Al Nassr

Well, take a moment to catch your breath! While the match started a bit slow, the final 20 minutes or so were utterly blistering! Al Nassr completely dominated the final 20 minutes, pouring waves of pressure onto the home attacking third.

Al Adalah did well to survive, mostly, but Cristiano Ronaldo's penalty has the visitors leading. That's important because their title rivals, Al Ittihad, also lead in their game, with a 2-0 home advantage over Damac just out of halftime, and third-place Al Hilal also have a lead thanks to Odion Ighalo.

Al Adalah vs Al Nassr: First Half

45+4 min: Chance, Al Adalah! WHAT A SAVE BY NAWAF ALAQIDI! The Al Nassr goalkeeper hasn't had anything to do all game, but he crops up with an absolutely wonderful diving stop on a curler by Khaled Hamdi!

45+4 min: Chance, Al Nassr! Cristiano Ronaldo so close to a second! He's fed through with a vertical ball down the left side of the six-yard box, but the angle is just too tight by the time he gets to it, and his shot is stopped by a charging Milan Mijatovic who stops the ball dead between his feet. The flag goes up anyways.

44th min: Chance, Al Nassr! Talisca steps in to dispossess Al Adalah in his own defensive third and then runs an utterly sensational counter-attack, culminating in a wonderful through-ball for Abdulrahman Ghareeb down the left. The winger sends it back to the middle where Cristiano Ronaldo is waiting, and while the Portugal superstar go up well to meet it, the ball is deflected away by a defender at the very last possible second! If not for that intervention, that's in the back of the net!

40th min: GOAL! AL NASSR! Cristiano Ronaldo steps up to take the penalty, and smashes it into the back of the net! He goes to his left, low into the corner, and while Milan Mijatovic guessed correctly, the penalty was blasted and perfectly placed, and the goalkeeper had no chance!

37th min: Chance, Al Nassr! This is a WAVE of pressure from Al Nassr, but somehow Al Adalah survive again! Off a corner, Al Nassr continue to pump the ball into the box over and over again. It pings around in the area awkwardly, but nobody can get the final touch to it. Then Abdulelah Al Amri is felled in the penalty area, and stays down, but the referee waves away the protest...

But wait! Replays show that Al Amri is clearly fouled, and the referee is referred TO A VAR REVIEW! Abdulaziz Al-Jamman clearly steps in and trips the Al Nassr defender. The referee takes a look, and he's made his decision...it's a PENALTY TO AL NASSR! He had no choice, it's clear.

34th min: The first yellow card of the match is shown to Khaled Hamdi for yanking the shoulder of Talisca on the break.

33rd min: Chance, Al Nassr! TALISCA OPEN HEADER SAVED BY MIJATOVIC! A cross from the left meets the head of a wide-open Talisca right in front of goal, but his header was driven into the ground right in front of the Al Adalah goalkeeper, and he makes another lucky easy save. Al Nassr should be in front!

29th min: Chance, Al Nassr! Oh my, how has Abdulrahman Ghareeb not scored there??? He's sprung through on a ball over the top of the high Al Adalah back line, and free on goal, he shoots right at the goalkeeper! It goes straight into Milan Mijatovic's hands! Easily the best chance of the game for either side!

27th min: It's egg on Milan Mijatovic's face as he's embarrassed by a charging Cristiano Ronaldo! The Montenegro goalkeeper gets away with it, but he tried a behind-the-leg switch on the ball and wrong-footed himself while Ronaldo pounced. Nearly a tragic moment, but he managed to scramble and clear!

24th min: Cristiano Ronaldo tries to play a one-two with a teammate at the top of the penalty area, but the Al Adalah defenders saw it coming. Ronaldo goes to ground and throws his hands up in the air looking to win a foul, or maybe a penalty (it was right on the edge of the 18-yard box) but the referee waves away his protests. In fairness, it seemed like good defending.

20th min: Cristiano Ronaldo blew a counter-attack as the ball from the left edge by Konan got stuck at his feet, but the flag goes up on him anyways, so had it worked, it wouldn't have counted.

Sami Al-Najei is down again, and he again looks to the bench. He has to go off, this can't continue. Indeed he does, and he's replaced by Ayman Ahmed.

17th min: Well, it appeared that Al Nassr would be forced into a change as Sami Al-Najei gave his bench the universal indicator that he needed a substitution for whatever injury he cropped up with, but now he's back onto the field. He's certainly not running well, so we'll keep our eyes on that.

13th min: Cristiano Ronaldo stands over a free-kick, but he doesn't take it, instead touching to a teammate and circling around the edge of the crowd in a clear training ground move. The return ball searches for Ronaldo at the far post, but it goes inches over his signature leap.

There's a break in the action as Sami Al-Najei is receiving treatment for an injury after going down under a challenge.

12th min: A real chance for the hosts fizzles out as Eugenio is free down the left but just completely loses control of the ball under light pressure from a defender, seeing it roll away harmlessly over the end line. Oops!

8th min: The home fans at Prince Abdullah bin Jalawi Sports City Stadium howls as Mohammed Al Oufi is dispossessed in midfield by a hard tackle, and Al Nassr break going long for Cristiano Ronaldo, but there's a necessary sliding intervention to prevent the ball from reaching his feet. There's a real tension right now in this match.

5th min: This game has started very open, and now the hosts nearly have a chance as they go Route One aerially for striker Marcus Antonsson! The Swedish forward controls it well, but has two defenders around him and just barely can't get the shot off. Al Nassr will have to be wary of that ball over the top.

3rd min: There's a huge murmur around the crowd as Cristiano Ronaldo gets his first touch on a ball from deep, and while he looks to work space for a shot, the flag stymies his attack and ends the chance. A replay shows the Al Adalah back line stepped up extremely well to put him over the edge despite his attempt to adjust at the last second.

2nd min: Al Nassr are straight into the attack, with Abdulrahman Ghareeb carrying it forward down the left, but his ball into the middle is defended awkwardly by the Al Adalah back line, and Sami Al-Najei is called for a foul while barging over a defender.

Kickoff: The match is under way as Cristiano Ronaldo takes the kickoff!

30 mins to kick: For Al Adalah, they've made two key changes. First, 20-year-old Mohammed Al-Oufi returns at left-back to replace Arif Al Haydar. Second, 31-year-old Brazilian Edson is back in at the defensive midfield position, stepping in for Peruvian international Christofer Gonzalez, which is a big call for head coach Martin Sevela of Serbia as David Tijanic now steps into the attacking creative role.

45 mins to kick: Lineups are in, and of course, Cristiano Ronaldo starts. Notably, Talisca is back alongside him for a second straight match, to push their growing partnership.

70 mins to kick: Cristiano Ronaldo may be 38 years old, and he looked his age while with Manchester United, but while form is temporary, class is permanent. He demolished Lichtenstein and Luxembourg on international duty with Portugal this past international break, and he's back to his best goalscoring form at the club level too, giving him a great run of games.

90 mins to kick: Al Nassr of course want to win the domestic title to bring home the silverware, but even more important is continental qualification. The Saudi Pro League has three AFC Champions League berth, with the top two earning a group stage spot, and the third qualifying for the preliminary rounds.

Al Nassr currently sit in second, a point back of first, but they have two big clubs, Al Shabab and Al Hilal both breathing down their necks. Al Shabab are five points back in third, while Al Hilal are in fourth just two points further adrift. Countries all over the continent are hoping that Ronaldo gets drawn with their teams!

120 mins to kick: While Cristiano Ronaldo is clearly the unquestioned star of this Al Nassr side, the main goalscoring threat is Brazilian attacker Talisca, who has been prolific all season. The 29-year-old, who is a Bahia youth product and spent time with Benfica and Besiktas, has banged in 14 goals in 15 matches this season.

There were reports that Talisca was upset by Ronaldo's arrival, but the two have begun to figure things out together up front. Interestingly, Talisca was the penalty taker in Al Nassr's 2-1 win over Abha last time out, managing to take the spot-kick instead of Ronaldo, and he was on the scoresheet against today's opponent Al Adalah the last time they met.

Al Adalah vs Al Nassr lineups, team news

Scoring goals has been Al Adalah's main issue this season, and they don't have any player with more than three this year. Marcus Antonsson, a former Sweden youth international, is their striker and is tied for the team lead in goals, but he has not provided the threat they had hoped. He'll depend on service from 25-year-old Serbian midfielder David Tijanic who steps into the creative role, with 30-year-old Peruvian Christofer Gonzalez sent to the bench.

Al Adalah confirmed starting lineup (4-2-3-1): Mijatovic (GK) — Al-Jamman, Godal, Al-Salem, Al-Oufi — Edson, Hamdi — Lenis, Tijanic, Eugenio — Antonsson.

Al Adalah subs (9): Al Amri (GK), Al Haydar, Al-Barrih, Al Harbi, Al-Alawi, Al-Habib, Al Sultan, Alnattar, Abo Abd.

Cristiano Ronaldo should continue to lead the line for Al Nassr, with Talisca either operating on the wing or right behind Ronaldo. Goalkeeper Nawaf Alaqidi has been the first choice ahead of Argentine Agustin Rossi in recent matches with the absence of injured starter David Ospina. Former Atlanta United star 'Pity' Martinez is out injured for the rest of the season.

Al Nassr confirmed starting lineup (4-2-3-1): Alaqidi (GK) — Ghanam, Amri, Gonzalez, Konan — Gustavo, Alkhaibari — Al Najei, Talisca, Ghareeb — Ronaldo.

Al Nassr subs (9): Rossi (GK), Mado, Al Sulaihem, Boushal, Marran, Al Hasan, Ayman, Majed, Lajami.

Al Adalah vs Al Nassr betting odds & lines

Al Nassr are massive favourites on the road in this match, with Cristiano Ronaldo and Talisca both in decent goal-scoring form.

Against the 15th-placed side in the 16-team Saudi Pro League table, it's no shock that the visitors are given the massive advantage, but Al Adalah are in a bitter relegation scrap and have turned things around of late, so be wary of a potential upset.
