Blake Lively and Gigi Hadid Change Into Superhero-Inspired Party ...

Blake Lively supported husband Ryan Reynolds at the New York City premiere of his film Deadpool & Wolverine by dressing up in not one but two Marvel superhero–inspired looks.

The Gossip Girl star brought along friend Gigi Hadid as her date to the event at Lincoln Center, and the supermodel followed Lively’s lead with the method dressing theme of the night.

Lively went red with her outfits, while Hadid went yellow. For her first look, Lively opted for an electric-rouge off-the-shoulder catsuit by Atelier Versace with opera sleeves and tights that went all the way down to her pointy heels. The piece was covered all over in a lacy black floral design.

The actor added some more action-movie drama to the fit—meant to pay homage to the red suit Reynolds wears as Deadpool—with a pair of silver earrings that looked like spearheads and were accented with red center stones.

Hadid went with a leather scarf top in mustard yellow, by Miu Miu, and a matching pleated miniskirt, which she held up with a tan suede belt. She wrapped up the look with a quilted Miu Miu handbag in the same yellow shade, strappy black leather heels also by the fashion house, and plenty of jewelry: sculptural gold earrings, a wrapped gold coins necklace from What Goes Around Comes Around, layered brown bangles and rings, and a chunky jewel-covered anklet.

Following the premiere, the best friends did a quick-change for the after-party. Lively traded her red catsuit for a latex candy-apple red minidress covered in rosettes and featuring a ruched sky-blue bodice from Balmain’s Spring/Summer 2024 ready-to-wear collection. She paired the off-the-shoulder piece with matching glossy red pumps and a red lip.

Guest in Residence founder Hadid also stuck to her color of the night for her second look. It was a lemon-yellow PVC trench coat from LaQuan Smith’s Spring/Summer 2023 ready-to-wear collection, which she wore as a dress (or cape?), and seemed to layer over a black bodysuit. She paired the striking outerwear with powder-yellow pumps and the same bag and jewelry.
