(WLOS) — In the afternoon of Thursday, Sept. 19, CNN published an article onRepublican Lt. Governor Mark Robinson that said the gubernatorial candidate made "a series of inflammatory comments on a pornography website’s message board over a decade ago."

CNN says that on the website, "Nude Africa," Robinson allegedly made comments between 2008 and 2012 where he called himself a Black Nazi and said that he enjoyed transgender porn and peeping on women in the showers as a teenager.

CNN shared some of the statements made on the site, such as: "'I like watching tr*nny on girl porn! That’s [redacted] hot! It takes the man out while leaving the man in!' Robinson wrote. 'And yeah I’m a ‘perv’ too!'"

Robinson also allegedly said: "'I’m not in the KKK. They don’t let blacks join. If I was in the KKK I would have called him Martin Lucifer Koon,'" according to CNN.

In response to this article, Republican Lt. Governor Mark Robinson released a video to X where he denied the claims made by CNN. Robinson also reiterated that he is not dropping out of the race for governor, he said in the X video.

In the X video, Robinson says that these are "not the words of Mark Robinson" and that he refuses to be removed from the race due to "salacious tabloid trash."

He says he is "in it to win it" and he will continue to run for governor, according to his video on X.

The campaign for gubernatorial candidateAttorney General Josh Stein released the following statement in response to the CNN report:

North Carolinians already know Mark Robinson is completely unfit to be Governor. Josh remains focused on winning this campaign so that together we can build a safer, stronger North Carolina for everyone.

Gov. Roy Cooper addressed the matter via an Instagram post in which he stated:

Donald Trump and NC GOP leaders embraced Mark Robinson for years knowing who he was and what he stood for including disrespect for women and inciting violence. They reap what they sow.

The North Carolina GOP released the following statement on X:
