The Ayodhya Ram mandir inauguration will take place on January 22 with thousands of dignitaries in attendance. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be in attendance as a team of priests performing the main rituals of the ‘pran pratishtha’. The event will be live-screened from 7 am to 1 pm on Doordarshan and other channels.

The consecration ceremony will be streamed live on the DD News TV channel as well as Doordarshan National's YouTube handle. Footage will be aired from several locations including Ram ki Paidi near Saryu ghat and the Jatayu statue at Kuber Tila.

“Tune in to watch LIVE and EXCLUSIVE coverage of ‘Pran-Pratishtha’ ceremony from Ayodhya. Your trusted channel, Doordarshan is set to transport you to Ayodhya for an exclusive front-row access to the historic ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony," the DD Twitter handle wrote.

The event will also be screened live at several movie theatres across the country. Multiplex operator PVR INOX has announced live screening of Ram Mandir inauguration during the consecration ceremony on its 160 cinema screens across 70-plus cities.

The 'Pran Pratistha' of Ram Lalla is scheduled to take place on Monday morning in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other dignitaries. Security was been beefed up in the temple town with Rapid Action Force personnel deployed at strategic locations.

The police are conducting patrols by boat on the Sarayu River at frequent intervals and anti-bomb squad and dog squad teams have been stationed at Ayodhya's Maharishi Valmiki International Airport. Vehicles reaching and leaving the airport were being thoroughly checked and no one was being allowed to enter the airport without a pass.

The skyline of Ayodhya has turned saffron over the past few days with flags of varying sizes flying atop buildings and decorating nearly all buildings and shops along Ram path. The streets of Ayodhya have also filled with strains of songs such as 'Ram Aayenge' and ‘Awadh Mein Ram Aayen Hain’ as devotees and dignitaries arrive.
