Denmark vs Tunisia Prediction - World Cup Odds & Free Pick

World Cup prediction, odds, and betting tips for Denmark vs Tunisia on November 22. World Cup free pick and game analysis.

Denmark should easily cruise to victory over outmatched Tunisia in this Group D opener at the World Cup, but our soccer betting picks have a better value lined up to take advantage of what looks like a lopsided matchup.

The 2022 World Cup from Qatar is finally here, and the much-anticipated group-stage matches will be in full bloom shortly.

Denmark (+2,800 at BetMGM) is in that second tier in the futures market for winning the whole tournament, while Tunisia (+40,000 at BetMGM) has the longest odds in Group D, and it is tied for the third-longest odds in the whole event.

Denmark will lean heavily upon star midfielder Christian Eriksen. But he’s not the only star for the Danes, who could make the home fans dance in the streets of Copenhagen.

Denmark is expected to march on in this opening group-stage match, but can Tunisia make it close, or even manage to steal a point? We’ll discuss in our World Cup betting picks for Denmark vs. Tunisia on Tuesday, November 22.

Denmark vs Tunisia odds Denmark vs Tunisia picks and predictions

Eriksen is the most famous player for either of the clubs. The 30-year-old midfielder from Middelfart  (I swear that’s a real place) had earned triple-digit caps playing for the national side.

Perhaps the most famous appearance for Eriksen, and not in a good way, was during a UEFA Euro 2020 match in June 2021 against Finland. He collapsed during the 43-minute mark of the match due to cardiac arrest. Eriksen was given CPR, and later he had an implantable cardioverter-defibrillator installed. Eventually, he returned to play for ManU of the EPL in about eight months.

Eriksen is not the only player of note for the Danish Dynamite, however, as Simon Kjaer leads a solid defense, and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg will help provide star power up front. Toss in Andreas Christiansen, who plays defense for Barcelona in La Liga, as well as midfielder Ellyes Shkiri of Bundesliga’s Cologne, and this team is stacked and ready to make a run.

Denmark’s best result in a World Cup came in 1998 in France, making it to the quarterfinals before bowing out against Brazil.

Tunisia doesn’t quite have the same kind of pedigree as their European counterparts. In five previous World Cup appearances, the Eagles of Carthage have failed to make it to the knockout stages.

English fans will remember Tunisia well, as it took a miracle by Harry Kane in stoppage time to avoid a draw against the Tunisians in the 2018 World Cup in Volgograd, Russia in a Group G opening match. In that 2-1 setback, Tunisia scored on a penalty kick at 35’.

The Eagles hope for a similar shocker at Education City Stadium in Al Rayyan in the Group D opener, but the best bet here is to take Denmark to score and Tunisia to be held to nil, especially at plus-money.

My best bet: Denmark to win/Tunisia not to score (+110 at BetMGM)

Denmark vs Tunisia side analysis

Denmark is a little on the expensive side if you want to bet it straight up on the 3-way line. At -210, you must risk more than two times your potential return, and there’s not a lot of value there, especially in an opening match when the clubs will each likely take the first 20-30 minutes or so feeling each other out, not taking a lot of chances.

If anything, playing a multiple correct score wager of Denmark 1:0, 2:0, 3:0 at +145 would be a much better way to go. In addition, there are plenty of other props which make a lot more sense and provide more added value.

Taking a look at the halftime/fulltime market, I really like the draw/Denmark (+290 at BetMGM) play. I could easily see this game as a scoreless draw at half before the Danes turn it on in the second half of action. Tunisia proved in 2018 that it is a pesky side, capable of frustrating even one of the world’s most gifted clubs. However, the fullbacks and keepers will have a difficult time with the star power Denmark possesses, and it certainly won’t get easier with Australia and France on the horizon, either.

Denmark vs Tunisia Over/Under analysis

Denmark is going to be the obvious play to win here. But what should you combine it with?

Denmark and Over 0.5 combined goals scored (-225 at BetMGM) is the safest play, but there isn’t a lot of solid return there. I am feeling a Denmark 2-0 final at fulltime in this opening Group D match, and therefore Denmark and Under 2.5 combined goals scored (+210 at BetMGM) is a very solid prop.

If you don’t want to have to declare a winner, but would still like Over/Under Total Goals action, Under 2.5 Goals (-140 at BetMGM) is a strong play. I just don’t see the Tunisians being able to solve the Danes, finding the back of the net. In fact, it wouldn’t be surprising at all to see Tunisia blanked for the entirety of the three matches in Group D play.
