Blake Lively and Gigi Hadid Said 'Deadpool & Wolverine' but Make It ...

Who says couples costumes are just for couples? Not Blake Lively and Gigi Hadid, who wore Deadpool & Wolverine themed outfits to the movie’s premiere on July 22 in New York City. You might have expected Lively to dress to match her husband Ryan Reynolds, who is, after all, the titular Deadpool in the film. But she had clearly decided this was a better opportunity for a little besties moment.

To support her hubs, Lively dressed in full Deadpool-core. She wore a custom Versace bodysuit in a cherry red with textured floral decals, clearly designed to mimic Deadpool’s red latex suit. Like the character’s suit, Lively’s bodysuit extended down over her platform heeled shoes and all the way down her arms and hands, like gloves. Unlike Deadpool’s, however, Lively’s outfit bared her shoulders. She accessorized with a snake bangle bracelet, statement earrings, and a clutch designed to look like a medieval flail weapon, with a chain and black ball.

While Lively’s outfit was about as unsubtle as you can get, Hadid took a few more liberties with her mustard-yellow Wolverine-themed ’fit. Hadid’s Miu Miu outfit consisted of a yellow leather kerchief top and matching skirt with a wide belt. Unlike Lively, Hadid went all out with the jewelry, stacking several chunky bangles on each arm, in addition to layered gold necklaces, gold statement earrings, and a diamond anklet.
