Michigan football players, media react on Twitter to MSU tunnel assault
We still don’t know much about what happened in the Lloyd Carr Tunnel at The Big House after Saturday’s game except what we saw on video and what Jim Harbaugh and Warde Manuel said after the game.
But, according to Harbaugh, two Wolverines were assaulted in the Michigan Stadium tunnel by several Michigan State players immediately following the 29-7 win by the maize and blue.
There is video and what we at WolverinesWire heard from eyewitnesses to the incident, and certainly more is due to come out with the police investigation.
Naturally, there was a lot of talk on social media following the game, including a few Michigan players and several media members. Here’s what they had to say:
Straight sucka move

For those asking, the Michigan player looks to be Ja'Den McBurrows. McBurrows, who suffered a torn ACL last December, did not appear in Michigan's first seven games, and I didn't seem him play tonight. Might be why he was in the tunnel "early," if that's the situation. https://t.co/c2rkXy1xto

I’ve only covered a few seasons of CFB but this is by far the most absurd thing I’ve seen.
Mel Tucker had “no reaction” since he didn’t see it yet — fair — but when THIS many players are involved, there’s an issue far beyond them. Starts from the top. https://t.co/TI4BgHX1xB

Complete trash from Michigan State. Should be embarrassed by this entire sorry excuse for a season. Itayvion Brown contributes basically nothing on the field but is willing to fight in the tunnel. ????️????️????️ https://t.co/H6ZE1RsCGb

Michigan Stadium staffers told me they had extra security in place specifically for the tunnel during and after this game. Where were they?! https://t.co/EWWqweo5lN
