Expert recap and game analysis of the Paris Saint-Germain vs. Brest French Ligue 1 game from February 1, 2025 on ESPN.

Ousmane Dembélé scored his second hat-trick of the week and Gonçalo Ramos scored a late brace in Paris Saint-Germain's 5-2 win at Brest on Saturday as the champions remain unbeaten at the top of Ligue 1.

PSG's 15th win of the campaign moved them to 50 points from 20 matches, 13 above second-placed Marseille who have a game in hand. Eighth-placed Brest remained on 28 points.

"I'm well placed, I'm in the role of number nine and I have to score goals. It was a game where I played a bit of a carrot behind the defence," Dembélé said after rising to the top of Ligue 1's scoring chart with 14 goals.

Hosts Brest threatened early on with Abdallah Sima running to the penalty area from the left and looking to set up Ludovic Ajorque but goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma intervened. Sima set up Ajorque again in the 18th minute but the Mainz loanee fired wide.

PSG soon took control, dominating possession and building pressure.

Fabián Ruiz sent Bradley Barcola through on the left and he flicked it across to Dembélé. The forward, who struck three times in Wednesday's 4-1 Champions League win at VfB Stuttgart, tapped into the empty net just before the half-hour mark.

PSG seemed to be cruising, but soon after the break Romain Del Castillo equalised for Brest, firing home when Willian Pacho's attempt to keep out Kenny Lala's ball fell to the midfielder.

Dembélé stepped up to restore PSG's lead seven minutes later when Bizot's attempt to block Khvicha Kvaratskhelia's shot found its way to the France forward who calmly slotted into the corner.

Five minutes later, Dembélé had his third. The 27-year-old made no mistake as Lee Kang-In got hold of a cross from the right and beat two defenders with a sharp turn to find Dembélé in the box.

"I think you have to congratulate the team and especially the passers. Because on the first goal, all I had to do was push it home. And on the third, Kang-In's pass was exceptional," Dembélé said.

Ajorque, who was a persistent threat in the first half, finally got on the scoresheet in the 71st minute, with a stunning strike from just outside the box.

But as the hosts pushed for a late equaliser, Ramos, who had replaced Dembélé in the 67th minute, restored PSG's cushion in the 89th minute as Désiré Doué ran up from his own half and found the Portuguese with a perfect cross.

Ramos got his second in stoppage time, scooping up the stray ball after Brendan Chardonnet blocked his attempt to find Doué in the box.

PSG, who are looking for their fourth Ligue 1 title in a row, host Monaco on Friday. Brest visit Nantes the same day.
