Bringing this party to life is Juno award winning children’s singer and songwriter Peter Lenton a.k.a. Peter Puffin who will be singing, dancing and engaging audiences of every age in library branches and communities across the island, and he’s making stops in Cowichan.
Puffin will be bringing his free interactive Summer Reading Club concert to the Chemainus library on Aug. 4 from 2 to 3 p.m., the Cowichan Lake library on Aug. 9 from 2 to 3 p.m., and to the Cowichan library in Duncan on Aug. 10 from 12 to 1 p.m. Puffin has delighted audience members of all ages with more than 3,000 concerts coast to coast in Canada, and internationally.
“If you’ve never seen Peter Puffin perform before, you’re in for a treat,” says VIRL Librarian, Virginia MacLeod. “His energy is infectious, his messages are encouraging and important, and his shows are a lot of fun. Everyone will be up and dancing from the moment Peter hits the stage to the final song of his set.”
