Regina Pats – the Team of Champions
The Regina Pats are a major junior ice hockey team based in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. They are members of the East Division of the Western Hockey League (WHL). Founded in 1917, the Pats are the oldest major junior hockey franchise in the world that have continuously operated from their original location.
The team has won the Memorial Cup four times and has been the league champions of the WHL seven times. Recently, the Pats' young star Connor Bedard had his junior career end in a disappointing fashion. The Pats lost 4-1 in Game 7 to the Saskatoon Blades in the first round of the WHL playoffs.
