Winnipeg Jets Morning Papers

Note: The Jets, without captain Adam Lowry who has been sidelined week to week, went into Ball Arena in Denver and played a heck of a hockey game against a very good Avalanche team. The game couldn’t be decided in regulation but then Neal Pionk called game blasting home the OT GWG just 17 seconds into extra time to win it 3-2 for Winnipeg. It was a good rebound game after the short two-game road trip got off to a poor start in Utah on Monday. Today they are scheduled to travel back to Manitoba where they will begin a two-game homestand which means no media.
Note II: The Moose had a second straight day of practice as they prepared for their two-game set against the Griffins which begins tonight in Winnipeg. We did get confirmation that Jets prospect Nikita Chibrikov is done for the season. They have morning skate at 10:30 AM at CLC and puck drop is at 7 PM CST.
