Heat warning
Environment Canada has issued a heat warning for Sarnia-Lambton, Chatham-Kent, Windsor-Essex, and parts of Middlesex and Elgin counties from Sunday to Wednesday. The warning blankets much of southwestern Ontario, urging residents to take precautions to stay safe during the extreme heat.
With temperatures expected to reach high levels, it is important to stay hydrated, avoid prolonged exposure to the sun, and seek out air-conditioned spaces when possible. Heat warnings are issued when the temperature or humidity reaches levels that could pose a health risk, especially for vulnerable populations such as the elderly, young children, and those with pre-existing health conditions.
It is crucial to take these warnings seriously and to take steps to protect yourself and others from the heat. By staying informed and following the recommended safety measures, you can help prevent heat-related illnesses and stay safe during periods of extreme heat.
