These temperatures are expected to last until the middle of next week.

The heat warning is issued for the following areas:

  • Edmonton
  • St. Albert
  • Sherwood Park
  • Fort Saskatchewan

Residents in the region are advised to protect themselves by rescheduling outdoor activities, taking frequent breaks from the heat, drinking plenty of water, and not leaving any person or pet inside a closed vehicle.

High temperatures can lead to a series of negative health effects, including heat stroke, confusion, fainting, and even unconsciousness.
