It’s the latest of many honours Bressette has earned since joining the Flyers in the 1999-2000 season.
He was the Ontario Hockey Association trainer of the year and Great Lakes Junior C Hockey League volunteer of the year in the 2010-11 season.
“Feedback from parents, doctors and other trainers suggests that Bob is very good at what he does,” Flyers general manager Dennis Meston said in a statement. “His diagnosing of injuries from concussions to ankle sprains is bang on. We are very fortunate to have Bob with the Flyers and in the PJHL.”
Bressette also volunteers with the Little Native Hockey League, was a Team Ontario trainer at the National Aboriginal Hockey Championships and will be the trainer for the Ontario lacrosse team at the North American Indigenous Games in Halifax in July.
