7000 Mississauga homes and businesses without power due to strong winds

Alectra Utilities says thousands of Mississauga homes and businesses are without power due to current weather conditions on the afternoon of Saturday, Dec. 11.

Alectra Utilities says thousands of Mississauga homes and businesses are without power due to current weather conditions on the afternoon of Saturday, Dec. 11.

According to Alectra’s outage map, there are at least seven pockets of the city without power, including areas near Hurontario Street and Eglinton Avenue and Matheson Boulevard and McLaughlin Road.

Outages are also being reported in areas of Streetsville, Vista Heights, Riverview, Meadowvale and Churchill Meadows.

Crews have been dispatched across the city with power estimated to return around 8 p.m.

Residents can report outages online or at 1-833-253-2872.
